Messages are not confidential. Express Messaging is offered merely as a courtesy to our patients and their families. PMC assumes no obligation to deliver any message. PMC makes no warranty or guarantee regarding the delivery of any message and shall not incur liability for failure to deliver or the misdelivery of any message. PMC reserves the right to refuse to deliver any message for any reason, including, but not limited to, any message deemed by PMC, in its sole and absolute discretion, to be harassing, abusive, threatening, obscene, or otherwise inappropriate. PMC further reserves the right to discontinue the Express Messaging service in whole or in part at any time without notice. PMC will not disclose patient information through the Express Messaging service including confirming or denying that an individual is or was a patient in our facility. Pikeville Medical Center reserves the right to collect identifying information about the message sender, including, but not necessarily limited to, the sender's IP (internet protocol) address, and, because of this, the sender should not have the expectation that their identity will necessarily remain anonymous simply due to an omission or entering false information on the form.
