During the same time doctors and nurses are treating those in their care, another group is working in the background to also help keep patients safe. These often unsung heroes are the Environmental Services (EVS) team, quickly preparing exam and hospital rooms so patients have a safe place to receive care and heal quicker. Their work is crucial because proper cleaning and disinfection can prevent the spread of pathogens to healthcare workers, patients and visitors.
“I am truly excited every day about getting to come to work and make a difference in peoples’ lives” said Joshua Howell, EVS Technician. “Our patients need a clean, comfortable space to heal, and it is rewarding to be a part of the team that aids in that healing.”
Part-time and full-time positions are available in the Environmental Services department at PMC, with up to a $2,250 upfront sign-on bonus. No high school diploma or GED is required. Full-time employees qualify for top-tier benefits.
