Pikeville Medical Center (PMC) received eight national Telly Awards for excellence in television commercial production at the 45th Annual National Telly Awards held recently in New York City. The eight awards presented to PMC are the highest number of awards that any hospital in America received in the hospital category.
The Telly Awards is a premier award ceremony honoring video and television production across all screens. Winners are chosen based on excellence in production quality and marketing creativity, and are recognized nationally.
This year’s annual Telly Awards received over 13,000 entries from all 50 states and six continents. Of the eight Telly Awards PMC received, four were Silver Tellys. Silver Tellys are coveted as they represent less than 5% of all entries submitted.
“Receiving these eight Telly Awards is an accomplishment PMC is very proud of,” explained PMC President and CEO Donovan Blackburn. “However, we are even more proud of what they signify. When you have a successful marketing campaign, you know you are effectively reaching your audience. For Pikeville Medical Center, this is reassurance that we are educating our patients and potential patients about the services we offer. We are extremely thankful to partner with Barnes Health, whose professionalism and creativity bring our marketing visions to life.”
PMC’s awards included a Silver Award for the “Robert’s Cancer Journey” campaign; a Silver Award for the “Place Your Heart in Our Hands” campaign; a Silver Award for the “Harold’s Cancer Journey” campaign; a Silver Award for the PMC Recruitment campaign; a Bronze Award for the Obstetrics and Pediatrics Care campaign; a Bronze Award for the Mettu Children’s Hospital
campaign; a Bronze Award for the Heart and Vascular Institute campaign; and a Bronze Award for the Heart and Vascular Institute II campaign.
Pikeville Medical Center works in partnership with Barnes Health, a nationally recognized strategic hospital marketing and public relations firm, to create and produce its commercials for all major campaigns. “Pikeville Medical Center provides national quality healthcare to Eastern Kentucky and beyond,” explained Jeffrey M.
