Many patients who have been diagnosed with cancer are treated with radiation therapy, which uses targeted doses of high-energy radiation to kill cancer cells and reduce tumor size. Pikeville Medical Center (PMC) has three Board Certified Radiation Oncologists on staff dedicated to fighting cancer. Ruth Lavigne, MD, Brad Collett, MD and Elyn Wang, MD work together to individualize and customize care for the patients of the Lawson Cancer Center at PMC.
