The patient care team at Pikeville Medical Center (PMC) involves many departments and staff members to offer patients the quality care they need and deserve. Food Service workers at PMC are responsible for a wide variety of tasks that involve interaction with patients and hospital staff. They prepare patient meals based on the patient’s prescribed diet order and ensure patients receive the correct food items, providing comfort and reassurance to both the patients and their families.
“Sometimes when you’re feeling down, all you need is a good meal to pick you up,” said Charlie, Food and Nutritional Services Manager. “The most rewarding part of my job is that I get to help our patients, visitors and staff have well-rounded and healthy meals every day. I also get to aid in the healing process by providing our patients with all the nutrition they need to feel better.”
Part-time and full-time positions are available in the Environmental Services department at PMC. No high school diploma or GED is required. Full-time employees qualify for top-tier benefits.
